What we collect
- The URL/handle you submit, its category, and its real click count — all public, shown on the board for anyone to see.
- A random id generated in your own browser and stored in its local storage — not an account, not tied to your name or email, used only so we can tell one visitor's clicks apart from another's for rate-limiting and the "online now" count.
- Your IP address, read briefly on each request to enforce the click rate limit. It lives only in server memory for a few seconds and is never written to a database or log file.
What we don't collect
- No accounts, no passwords, no email addresses.
- No cookies. The random id above lives in localStorage on your device only.
- No cross-site tracking, no analytics pixels, no third-party trackers of any kind — including for the favicon shown next to Website entries, which our own server fetches and caches on your behalf so your browser never has to contact a third party just to view the board.
Why we're allowed to store that local id
Under EU/UK rules, storing anything on your device (even outside a classic "cookie") normally needs either your consent or a "strictly necessary" reason. We rely on the second: the local id exists only to stop obvious click abuse and isn't used for advertising or profiling, so no consent banner is shown. If you'd rather not have it, clearing your browser's local storage for this site removes it — the board still works, you'll just be rate-limited as a fresh visitor.
Advertising
Some pages have paid ad space. Where it's filled, it's static content we place directly for the advertiser — there's no ad network script and nothing on the page tracks you because of it. Buying ad space never changes anyone's position on the board; the board is ranked by real clicks only.
Retention
Entries and click counts are kept indefinitely — they're the actual product, a real record of real activity, not something we delete on a timer. Your browser's local id stays only on your device; we never link it back to who you are.
Your rights
Because we don't collect anything that identifies you personally, most data-subject rights (access, correction, deletion, portability) mainly apply to the entry itself, not to you as a visitor. If you submitted an entry, you can ask us to remove it at any time — see Contact below. If you're in the EU/UK and believe we've mishandled your data, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Age
You must be at least 16 (or the minimum digital consent age where you live, if lower) to submit an entry or click on this site.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the update.
